Turbaning of the Minister of Water Resources, Alhaji Suleiman Adamu witnessed by the vice president Professor Yemi Osinbajo

Minister of Water Resources, Engr Suleiman Adamu says he has no intention to contest for political office after completion of his service as minister of the federal Republic of Nigeria.

Alh Suleiman Adamu stated this to newsmen shortly after elevating his traditional title to Senior District Head of Roni by the Emir of Kazaure at his palace.

”After the sojourn in the Public Service as Federal Minister in the next 2 years, I will then take full charge of exalted traditional responsibilities as the District Head of Roni.”

“I don’t have any political ambition for now and my prayer always is for God Almighty to make a right choice for us here and after” he stated.

Radio Nigeria reports that there is a rumour that the minister has ambition to contest for Governorship in the 2023 general elections in jigawa state.

About 6 contenders have indicated interest to vie for gubernatorial position in the state under the All Progresive Congress APC.

This include Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia representing, Jigawa North East, Senator Danladi Sankara, representing Jigawa North West and Senator Sabo Muhammad Nakudu representing Jigawa Central.

Others are the current Deputy Governor Mallam Umar Namadi and comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration service, Muhammad Babandede.
