The Minister of State for Defence, Dr Bello Mohammed Matawalle, has donated a car and ten motorcycles to a support group led by Alhaji Salisu Dawa in Zamfara State.
The donation, according to the Minister, was part of his ongoing empowerment programme aimed at supporting his followers and strengthening their activities across the state.
Matawalle, who was represented at the presentation ceremony by the Chairman of his political movement in Zamfara State, Builder Ibrahim Isa Mayana, said the gesture was in appreciation of the beneficiaries’ continued support and loyalty to his political movement and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement issued by the Publicity Secretary of the Matawalle Political Standing Committee, Yusuf Idris Gusau, the Minister said the donation was intended to ease the transportation challenges faced by members of the group.
He noted that, the latest gesture was not the first time he had supported his followers and would not be the last, assuring them of his continued commitment to their welfare.
Matawalle expressed confidence that the beneficiaries would put the vehicles to good use to support their personal and family needs, as well as facilitate the coordination and coverage of party activities across Zamfara State.
He also commended members of the group for their commitment to promoting the APC and participating in party activities across the state and beyond.
In his response, the group leader, Alhaji Salisu Dawa, expressed appreciation to the Minister for the donation, described it as a significant support for the group’s operations.
Dawa explained that members had previously relied on alternative means of transportation to reach various communities but said the newly donated vehicles would improve their mobility and enable them to extend their activities across the state.
The presentation ceremony was attended by members of the Matawalle Political Standing Committee and other political stakeholders.
