Governor Mohammed Umar Bago Ọf Niger state is expected to perform the groundbreaking ceremony for the reconstruction and dualisation of the Lambata-Bida-Mokwa-Makera-Kontagora Federal Highway projects to boost economic activities and reduce thẹ suffering ọf Nigerians
This followed the Federal Government’s approval of one point five trillion naira for the project.
In a statement Minna, the Chief Press Secretary to the Niger State Governor, Bologi Ibrahim, said the groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Tuesday nrxt wẹẹk project and is part of efforts at improvung road infrastructure and transportation in the state.
The approval by thẹ Federal Government has been described by the Niger State Government as a major development, considering the large number of Federal roads in the state.
Whẹn completed the highway is expected to improve the movement of people and goods, boost economic activities and strengthen connectivity between communities in Niger State and other parts of the country.
The Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi; Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris; Chairman of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote; and the Chairman of Hi-Tech Construction are expected to attend the ceremony.
Niger State Government maintained that the administration of Governor Umar Bago is fully committed to ensuring that Federal roads across the state receive the necessary attention its deseeved.
