The Kebbi State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with cattle theft in Bunza Local Government Area, recovering two cows suspected to have been stolen.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer SP Bashir Usman made this known in a statement issued to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.
According to the statement, the arrest was made following intelligence and community information as Abubakar Wakili and Usman Danbello were arrested in Bunza after residents alerted the Police to the movement of the animals.

It also stated that, the cows were believed to have been taken from Ganten Tudu in Bagudo Local Government Area and brought to Bunza Market for sale, but the animals have since been handed over to the rightful owner, who identified them as his stolen cows.
The statement added that, Investigation is ongoing to uncover more details and identify other persons connected with the crime, and upon conclusion the suspects would be charge to court to face wrath of the law.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Hadejia, thanked members of the public for their support and urged everyone to continue sharing useful information with the Police and other security agencies
