Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, will participate in three high-level engagements at the Africa Food Systems Forum, AFS Forum 2026, in Kigali, Rwanda, from September 1 to 2.
Mallam Umar Namadi will serve as a panellist at a plenary session on “Policy and State Capability: Aligning Investment to Fast-Track CAADP Objectives.”
He will also participate in a high-level roundtable on “Scaling Innovative Finance for Competitive Rice Value Chains” and join a side event on “From Emergency Responses to Food Systems Resilience.”
In a statement to Radio Nigeria, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Hamisu Mohammed Gumel, says the governor’s participation will provide an opportunity to share Jigawa’s experience and perspectives on agricultural investment and food systems resilience.
Gumel added that the engagements would enable the state to exchange ideas on innovative financing and sustainable agricultural development with governments, investors, development partners and other stakeholders across Africa.
