Zamfara State Government has assured members of the business community of fairness, justice and equal treatment in the government’s dealings with traders, entrepreneurs and investors.
The Commissioner for Commerce, Tourism and Industries, Tasi’u Musa Shinkafi gave the assurance at a one-day stakeholders’ meeting to discuss challenges confronting businesses in the state and explore opportunities for investment, trade and industrial development.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders from the private sector as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between government and the business community and develop practical measures for creating a more conducive business environment in Zamfara.
In a statement issued by the Ministry’s Information Officer, Jamilu Bello, the Commissioner said the administration of Governor Dauda Lawal remains committed to supporting businesses and strengthening its engagement with the private sector.
Tasi’u Musa Shinkafi said the Ministry would ensure fairness and equal treatment for all stakeholders, assuring the business community that their concerns and interests would receive fair consideration.
He noted that the government recognises the vital role of the private sector in driving economic growth, creating employment opportunities and promoting sustainable development in the state.
The Commissioner also invited stakeholders across Zamfara, as well as national and international investors, business organisations and other relevant partners, to participate in the forthcoming Zamfara State Business Summit scheduled for next week.
He said the summit would provide a wider platform for stakeholders to deliberate on investment opportunities, identify challenges affecting businesses and develop practical strategies for promoting trade and industrial development.
According to him, traders and entrepreneurs will also have the opportunity to showcase their businesses, products and services, thereby enhancing visibility, networking, partnerships and potential investment opportunities.
The Commissioner urged all stakeholders to actively participate in the summit and contribute ideas that would strengthen the business environment, promote entrepreneurship and unlock the economic potential of Zamfara State.
