President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the immediate commencement of a coordinated rescue operation for victims of the recent mass abduction in Niger State.

 

The President directed the Armed Forces, Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services and other security and intelligence agencies to work together to rescue all those abducted and bring the perpetrators to justice.

 

President Tinubu condemned the abduction and killing of innocent citizens, describing the attackers as enemies of peace and humanity who will not go unpunished.

 

He expressed condolences to families of those killed in the attack, assuring the people of Niger State that the Federal Government would provide necessary support for recovery, relief and security reinforcement.

 

The President also directed the Service Chiefs to provide him with regular updates on the rescue operation until all the victims are accounted for.

 

He assured Nigerians that the government would continue to defend citizens, protect communities and uphold the sanctity of human life.
