Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested four suspects in Esie and Ijan towns of Irepodun Local Government Area of the state for allegedly raping and killing a middle age woman.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Corps Public Relations Officer, Babawale Afolabi and made available to Journalists in Ilorin.
According to the statement on 2nd of April, 2021 one Alhaji Musa Waziri (secretary, Fulani and Bororo in Esie and Ijan region) reported a missing woman by name Aishat Sanni.
The statement said the missing woman’s corpse was later discovered in the bush, adding that four suspects were arrested in connection with the murder of the woman by the search team of NSCDC,Vigilante and The Nigerian Police.
It explained that the statements of the suspects were taken after been duly cautioned and security fact findings linked them to the death of the young woman.
The statement said the case has been transferred to the Nigerian Police for further investigation and prosecution.
