Ten Political parties have resolved to participate in the forthcoming local governments election in sokoto state.
Executive Chairman, Sokoto state Independent Electoral commission, Alh Aliyu Sulaiman stated this at a peace meeting organized for stakeholders ahead of next Saturday election.
He said the aim of the meeting was to agree on arrangements for free and fair election across the twenty three local governments.
The Chairman of one of the party at the meeting, Alh, Namadina Abdulrahman who read the text of the peace accord said African Alliance AA ,African Democratic Congress ADC, people Democratic Party PDP, among others have signed the agreement.
However, All Progressive Congress, APC said it would boycott the election, alleging that the PDP which is the ruling party in the state is not ready to conduct a free and fair election.
