The Standing Committee of the SOKAPU Community Development Associations (CDA) has reaffirmed its commitment to unity, accountability, and grassroots development in Southern Kaduna.

Chairman of SOKAPU standing Committee Mannaseh  Tukson made the statement during a meeting held in Kaduna.

During the meeting Mannaseh Tukson  urged residents to promote peaceful coexistence across ethnic and religious lines, describing unity as essential for the region’s progress.

According to him the committee also declared the existence of a “CDA’s Forum” as  illegal stating that it is not recognized by the SOKAPU constitution.

The Chairman stressed that  only the CDA structure is legitimate.

It accused the forum of acting against the interests of the people and alleged that its recent press briefing was aimed at gaining public sympathy for selfish purposes.

The committee further raised concerns over an alleged mismanagement of ₦15 million reportedly meant for internally displaced persons (IDPs), claiming there is no record of how the funds were utilized.

On governance, the committee called on elected representatives from Southern Kaduna to deliver more tangible development to their constituencies while urging citizens to hold leaders accountable for campaign promises, including improved education, healthcare, water supply, security, and job creation.

Reaffirming its support for the current SOKAPU leadership, the committee endorsed the leadership of Engr. Samuel Tabara Kato and encouraged residents to continue backing his administration.

The committee also appealed to government authorities, traditional rulers, and religious leaders to intensify efforts toward peace and security, advocating for community policing as a practical approach to safeguarding lives and property.
