The Saminaka Emirate Council in Kaduna State has called for unity and mutual understanding among communities in Lere Local Government Area to foster peace and sustainable development.

The Emir, Alhaji Musa Sani Ibrahim, made the call at his palace during a Sallah homage visit by traditional title holders as part of the Eid al-Fitr celebrations in the area.

Alhaji Musa Sani Ibrahim urged residents to continue living in peace and harmony, irrespective of ethnic or religious differences, stressing that unity remains key to progress.

He also called on government at all levels to intensify efforts in providing farm inputs and addressing insecurity to enable farmers carry out their activities without constraints, thereby ensuring food security.

While appreciating the traditional title holders for their continued support and loyalty, the Emir encouraged them to remain good ambassadors of the emirate and support the current administration for peace and rapid development.

In a remark, the Egwe of the Igbo community in Saminaka, Mr. John Eze, expressed gratitude to the emirate council for its inclusive leadership and fairness.

Mr. Eze commended the Emir’s leadership style and reaffirmed the commitment of the Igbo community to contribute its quota to the development of the area.

Also speaking, the Tafarkin Saminaka, Alhaji Musa Suleiman Tanko, described the emirate as one of the most peaceful in Kaduna State and assured that traditional rulers would continue to work tirelessly to sustain the existing peace for the benefit of all.
