The swearing-in ceremony took place on at the State House, where President Tinubu congratulated the newly appointed minister and expressed confidence in his capacity to support the administration’s economic reform agenda.

The President commended Oyedele for his role in leading efforts to reform Nigeria’s tax system, describing the country’s previous tax framework as outdated and in need of modernisation to support economic growth and transparency.

In his remarks, the new Minister of State for Finance thanked the President for the confidence reposed in him, describing the opportunity to serve the country as a privilege.

He assured Nigerians that he would give his best in the discharge of his duties, noting that the focus of government fiscal policy would include strengthening revenue mobilisation, improving spending efficiency and ensuring fiscal sustainability.
