The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation (SABMF) has condemned the recent wave of attacks by Boko Haram and other militant groups targeting military formations and personnel in Northern Nigeria.
In a press statement signed by its Director-General, Abubakar Gambo Umar, the Foundation described the attacks as cowardly and dangerous to Nigeria’s sovereignty, warning that the growing trend poses a serious threat to national stability and public safety.
The SABMF expressed solidarity with the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies, commending their continued sacrifice in the fight against insurgency.
It called on Nigerians to rally behind the troops through moral, material, and logistical support to strengthen ongoing operations.
The Foundation also urged citizens to use the ongoing holy period to offer prayers for the protection and success of security personnel working to safeguard lives, property, and national unity.
While condemning the actions of informants and collaborators aiding terrorist groups, the SABMF described such acts as treacherous and urged communities to cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and credible intelligence.
Reaffirming its commitment to peace and development, the Foundation pledged continued support for initiatives that promote stability, education, and youth empowerment across Northern Nigeria.
