The National Chairman Council of Ulama of Jamaatu Izalatil Bidi’ah Wa Iqamatis Sunnah JIBWIS, Ash Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir has called on Governor Umar Bago of Niger State tọ expedite action in signing the Hisbah bill recently passed into law by the Niger State House of Assembly.

He however cautioned the state Governor, against politicising the issue of Hisbah bill, because it is meant for the Muslim faithfuls, and about ninety five percent of people in Niger State are Muslims.

The Clergy man who gave the advice at the closing of this years Ramadan tafsir held at the vicinity of late Malam Ladan House in Minna, Niger State, insisted that the Hisbah law promotes equity, fairness and justice in line with Islamic injunctions.

Represented by Dr Aliyu Ibrahim Shafi’i, from Misau Local Government Council of Bauchi State, who presided ọver the annual tafsir, the National Chairman Council of Ulama JIBWIS, allayed the fears beeing entertained by some Christians, saying that some Igbo’s in Bauchi State, prefer tọ present their cases including marital problems tọ the Hisbah Command.

In his remarks Chairman Council of Ulama Niger state Chapter, Sheikh Abubakar Abu Sumayyah represented by Ustaz Muhammad Gulbin Sunnah, emphasised that the Hisbah bill is not tọ witchunt any person, and called for support and understanding to ensure its speedy signing by Governor Umar Bago.

Also speaking the Chairman Tafsir committee, Alh Ibrahim Dumus, represented by Alh Salisu Musa Koko, commended Former Military President General Ibrahim Babangida retired and Former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar for their support including othẹrs numerous tọ mention, spoke of plans by the committee tọ commence payment of school fẹes for some orphans in primary and secondary schools in Bosso and Chanchaga Local Government Councils.

Member of the House of Representatives  representing Chanchaga Federal constituency from Niger State Malam Abdu Buba donated ọne million naira while the Chairman of Chanchaga Local Government Council Dr Mustapha Jibrin Alheri also donated five hundred thousand naira to the committee tọ enhance its success.
