Governor Malam Umar Namadi has commended the peaceful and successful conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Congress in Jigawa State, describing the exercise as orderly, transparent and conducted entirely by consensus.
In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Government House, Dutse, Hamisu Mohammed Gumel, Governor Namadi thanked Almighty Allah for guiding the party during the congress held in Dutse.
He explained that the congress began at the ward level, progressed to the local government stage and culminated at the state level, with all elections conducted through consensus among party members.
According to him, the peaceful conduct of the exercise demonstrates unity and maturity within the APC in Jigawa State.
Governor Namadi noted that the absence of complaints or acrimony among stakeholders reflected the strong cohesion within the party.
He assured members that the state leadership of the APC would continue to work inclusively with all party stakeholders.
The governor also appreciated party elders and leaders across the state for their participation, including the Minister of State for Education, serving and former members of the National and State Assemblies, as well as community leaders and supporters.
He commended the national party delegation for overseeing what he described as a credible and peaceful process.

Addressing the newly elected executives, Governor Namadi said their emergence by consensus signified the confidence reposed in them by party members.
He urged them to uphold fairness, justice and strict adherence to the party’s constitution, warning that injustice often breeds division within political organisations.
In his acceptance remarks, the newly elected State Chairman, Ahmed Garba MK, thanked the party and the governor for the trust placed in the new executives.
He pledged that the leadership would work diligently to strengthen the party and secure victory in future elections.
The chairman attributed the party’s strength in the state to inclusive leadership and sustained grassroots mobilisation, noting that the APC has maintained electoral dominance in Jigawa since 2014.
He, however, warned against dual party loyalty, stressing that members must remain committed to one political platform.
The congress was attended by party leaders, elected officials and supporters from across the state.
