The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) Kaduna Chapel, has distributed bags of rice and sugar to its members as Ramadan incentives to support them during the fasting period.

Chairman of the chapel, Umar Adamu Sarkinfada, disclosed this while speaking to newsmen at the premises of Radio Nigeria Kaduna in Kaduna.

He said the gesture was aimed at cushioning the hardship caused by the rising cost of food items, particularly during Ramadan when household expenses often increase.

According to him, although the items may not fully meet the needs of members, they are meant to provide some relief and serve as a token of appreciation for the support and cooperation the leadership has received.

The chairman also called for continued support from members and urged both Muslims and Christians to use the Ramadan and Lenten seasons to pray for peace, unity, and prosperity in the country.

Some beneficiaries commended the executive committee for the initiative and encouraged the leadership to sustain its welfare-driven approach while promoting unity among members.
