The Nigerian Forest Security Service (NFSS), Kano State command, has called on the Federal and State Governments to strengthen its capacity to protect forests and curb criminal activities across the state.

Al’ameen reiterated the service’s commitment to bolstering national security through enhanced collaboration with the Department of State Services (DSS).

He explained that the summit, organized across all 36 states of the federation, aims to promote intelligence-driven operations within Nigeria’s security architecture.

“The summit provides a platform for the DSS to educate NFSS personnel on intelligence collation, analysis, dissemination, and the proper handling of classified information,”

“It also focuses on the roles of intelligence officers during ambush situations and other security operations.”

Officers from 44 Local Government Areas of Kano State participated in the summit, pledging to maintain their commitment to safeguarding communities nationwide.

Al’ameen urged participants to apply the knowledge acquired effectively and contribute to making Nigeria safer.

He further appealed to President Bola Tinubu to support NFSS in its quest for full recognition as part of the nation’s security agencies.
