Cedar Grills and Chops has organized a Valentine Appreciation Lunch for doctors, pharmacists, nurses and other health workers at the Kaduna State University Teaching Hospital, Kaduna

The outreach, tagged “Valentine Appreciation Lunch for Doctors, Pharmacists, Nurses & Health Workers,” was held in collaboration with supporting partners as part of activities to mark Valentine’s Day.

Chief Executive Officer of Cedar Grills and Chops, Docas Dodo, popularly known as Chef Nano, said the initiative was aimed at recognizing the sacrifices and dedication of medical personnel who often go unappreciated despite their vital role in society.

She noted that beyond public criticisms, doctors and other health workers continue to save lives while responding to late night and early morning calls, even as they manage personal challenges.

According to her, about three hundred standard meals were prepared and distributed to health workers and patients during the appreciation lunch.

She added that the organization plans to extend similar gestures to other often-forgotten public servants, including road safety officials and traffic wardens.

Responding, a Radiologist at the hospital, Dr. Farauk Bilkisu, described the gesture as unprecedented and timely, especially amid increasing public scrutiny of medical practitioners.

She expressed gratitude for the recognition and called on members of the public to appreciate the role of health workers and allow them to carry out their duties without undue criticism.

Radio Nigeria reports that doctors, nurses, pharmacists, patients and casual staff were seen enjoying the well garnished meals served during the Valentine outreach, which forms part of Cedar Grills’ broader community engagement drive to promote empathy and support for frontline workers.
