The Kaduna State Government has concluded plans to launch a waste management initiative known as Operation Tsapta, aimed at promoting a cleaner and healthier environment across the state’s twenty-three local government areas.
Speaking during preparations for the official launch at the Murtala Mohammed Square in Kaduna, the Chairperson of the Task Force, Hajiya Aisha Umar, said the initiative is being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Environment as part of efforts to make Kaduna clean again.
She explained that Operation Tsapta is a strategic environmental sanitation programme designed to create a cleaner, safer and healthier environment, particularly within the Kaduna metropolis.
Hajiya Aisha Umar further noted that the operation, being coordinated through the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, is the first of its kind in the state.
According to her, the official launch of Operation Tsapta is scheduled for Thursday and will be attended by Governor Uba Sani.
Other dignitaries expected at the event include the Emir of Zazzau, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, and the Commissioner of Environment and Natural Resources.
