The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has fixed 8th February, 2026 as the final deadline for data capturing of intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The Director General of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, made the disclosure through Sheikh Tijjani Sani Maihula, a member of the Board of Directors, in compliance with a directive from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
According to the Director General, NAHCON has mandated all states to conclude the data capturing of intending pilgrims on or before the stipulated date, stressing that the deadline is final and non-negotiable.
Danbappa disclosed this during a joint meeting between Board staff and Local Government Hajj Centre officers, held at the Board’s headquarters in Kano.
He urged intending pilgrims who are yet to submit their international passports to do so promptly, warning that no extension will be granted after the deadline
The Director General Hajjdirected Local Government Hajj Centre officers to intensify public awareness and mobilization efforts to ensure full compliance across all local government areas.
The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board reassured the general public of its commitment to ensuring a smooth, transparent, and successful Hajj operation for the 2026 pilgrimage.
