The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) has sealed up five filling stations in Kwara state for over-pricing, under-dispensing and abscondment.

Speaking with newsmen after monitoring of over 35 filling stations in the state capital, the Controller Ilorin field office of DPR, Engineer Sule Yusuf, said government has no intention to increase fuel price in the country.

He expressed worry over situations where operators seem to be taking laws into their hands by selling fuel above government approved pump price .

Engineer Yusuf said those who absconded can only be reopened after they show remorse, pay sanction fees and comply with government rules.

He urged the general Public to report any fuel station owner selling above government approved pump price of petroleum for prompt action.
