Kwara State Government says it would continue to work closely with FIDA and other relevant stakeholders to ensure protection of the right of women, children and other citizens.

The state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Senior Sulyman,stated this at the Annual General Meeting(AGM), of the Kwara State Chapter of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), held in Ilorin, Kwara State Capital.

Represented by the Deputy director of litigation at the ministry ,the Attorney general said the present administration would continue to provide enabling environment for women, children and other citizens to actualize their full potentials.

He commended FIDA for its commitment to promotion of justice, equality, and human rights.

The Commissioner reiterated the state government’s unwavering commitment to ensure free access to justice in the state.

For her part the FIDA Nigeria’s Chairperson, Funke Balogun said the organization is committed to protecting, promoting, and defending the rights of women and children across Nigeria.

She informed that since her assumption of office, the organization has sustained its struggle for women’s rights, with over 10 Training Workshops held on leadership skills and critical areas of FIDA’s mandate.
