The Nigeria Police Force has presented thirteen armoured operational vehicles to the Kebbi State Government in recognition of Governor Nasir Idris’ sustained support for security operations in the state.

Speaking during the presentation at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, the Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Bello Sani, said the vehicles were deployed to the state by the Force Headquarters, Abuja, following directives of the Inspector-General of Police IGP.

CP Bello Sani explained that the gesture was aimed at appreciating the Kebbi State Government for its consistent assistance to security agencies in the fight against crime and insecurity.

According to him, the vehicles were delivered in two batches, the first batch consists of six armoured operational vehicles and one truck, which have been permanently assigned to the Kebbi State Command while the second batch comprises six armoured Special Intervention Squad (SIS) vehicles designated for special operations within the state.

He noted that all the vehicles are fully armoured and will significantly enhance police operations, particularly in volatile areas, while strengthening overall security across the state.

In his response,Governor Nasir Idris expressed profound gratitude to Almighty God and appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Inspector-General of Police for Prioritising the security of lives and property in Kebbi state.

Governor Idris also described the armoured vehicles as timely and suitable for deployment to flashpoints across the state, noting that they represent a clear fulfillment of the directives issued by President Tinubu to the IGP.

He commended the Nigeria Police, the military, and other security agencies for their swift responses to security challenges, observing that peace has gradually returned to Kebbi State as a result of their collective efforts.

The Governor assured that the state government would continue to support all security agencies to enable them to effectively discharge their duties.
