Kaduna Government College Old Boys Association (KADOBA) has applauded Governor Uba Sani for his efforts in improving security and raising educational standards across Kaduna State.
The National President of the Association, Muhammad Yusuf Sa’in Lere, gave the commendation during a joint meeting of the Exco members and elders of the Association to discuss issues affecting the college and preparations for the National Convention scheduled for December 2025.
Addressing the gathering, Sa’in Lere acknowledged the Governor’s commitment to reviving the education sector and enhancing security despite existing challenges.
He stated that the Association is ready to partner with the state government to support the achievement of its developmental goals.
The National President also expressed gratitude to the present administration in its efforts on security matters which allows the citizens of the state to enjoy peaceful coexistence and confidence to go about their daily commercial activities and other economic and social engagements.
According to Sa’in Lere, Government college kaduna is still facing encroachment and the continued occupation of the NYSC and Civil defense in its premises which is not convenient for studies in the college and has also cried out on the drastic reduction of student’s enrollment which is less than 300 students at the moment compared to what it use to be before with thousands of good quality students.
The president further appealed to the state government once again to intervene and returned the school to it’s past glory.
Some of the elders present at the meeting were AVM Ndatsu a former military Governor of Kano state and Dan Masanin Zazzau, Dr. Falalu Bello amongst others.
They salute the Exco for being steadfast and maintaining its focus towards restoring the glory of the college in a very matured way and manner.
They also appeal to the Exco to continue the good work and call on them to shift the idea of the national convention until after all the festivities.
The elders are very optimistic as mentioned by the National president that Governor Uba Sani as some one that has passion for education will look into the issues surrounding the college positively and will surely eventually return it back to its past glory they went further to say that the old students are ready to partner with government in making the college a place to be proud of when it is finally returned to the students.
