Women Centered Program “Kallabi* Calls on women to adopt responsible online habits and use their digital presence to build constructive narratives that will amplify their voices across social media platforms. International coordinator of the programme Hajiya Zainab Muhammad Abubakar made the call during the programme held at Kaduna Polytechnic.

Kallabi Deutsche Welle ,DW and Freedom Radio women-centred program convened a diverse audience to promote dialogue on women’s empowerment, media literacy and responsible digital engagement.


The programme with the theme ” women and social media, where we heading?also featured a panel session, led by the International Coordinator and panelists Justice Saadatu Hamma, of the Kaduna state Multi door court house, content creator Hafsat Paki and islamic media expert Abu Jabir.


The session explored the intersection of social media, law and responsible digital participation, with each panelist offering perspectives from their respective fields. Justice Hamma underscored the legal implications of online misconduct, Hafsat Paki highlighted creative yet ethical content creation practices, while Abu Jabir examined the wider societal influence of digital communication.


The event drew participants from within and outside the media sector, reflecting a broad interest in strengthening the role of women in contemporary communication spaces. They underscored the programme’s role in providing credible information, promoting education and supporting women to participate meaningfully in public discourse.

They highlighted the influence of online platforms in shaping public opinion and encouraged young women to use social media responsibly, creatively and ethically.

Participants were reminded that freedom of expression online must be balanced with respect for the law and for the rights of others.
