Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, former Senate President Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, and the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, have condemned the terrorist attack on Eruku in Ekiti Local Government Area of the state.

In a statement, Governor AbdulRazaq called for urgent security reinforcement in Ekiti Local Government Area, particularly around the Eruku axis, to swiftly curb the emerging wave of attacks. He assured that the state government will continue to support security agencies to address the challenges and ensure the safety of lives and property across Kwara.

Saraki, in a separate statement issued in Ilorin, said the attack had disrupted the “usually serene and peaceful atmosphere” of the town, stressing that it requires immediate and decisive action from authorities.

Also reacting, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, in a statement by his Press Secretary, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, urged security agencies to intensify efforts and mobilise personnel for the safe return of all kidnapped victims.
