Senator representing Cross River North has reiterated his commitment to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s efforts toward achieving sustainable national development.

Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe made this known while speaking to newsmen, explaining that his decision to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was driven by his desire to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s growth and development.

Senator Jarigbe said that President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has been doing very well so far, and we have empirical indices that confirmed that, therefore, we need to support him too.

He added that our forex liabilities have been pledged to return over $10 billion, and this is undisputed, adding that our foreign reserves from 3.99 billion have risen to about $42 billion.

Senator Jarigbe, said Mr president has also attracted foreign direct investments commitments to return over $50 billion in to the country to boost the county’s economic sustainability, arguing that all these would have a positive multiplier effect even on his constituency.

He said besides there are too many things happening in the oil sector , saying right now our oil production level was about 1 million barrels per day but today is about 1.68 million barrels meaning we are doing better.

The lawmaker argued that the issue of insecurity is a world wide problem and Nigerian case is not an isolated one, it has been a perennial issue and not peculiar to this administration alone , subsequent ones have been battling with it.

He said this administration of President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has been trying its best, taking into consideration the number of terrorists and bandits been arrested in recent times and i think we can do better moving forward.

The senator said political party does not bring development to people what matters is who represents a particular senatorial district and how willing he is to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.

Jarigbe also said it is immaterial to his people which party he belongs to but as it stands today, his movement to the ruling party will even open more doors of opportunities to his people.
