The Taraba State Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Dr. Aminu Jauro Hassan, has congratulated the newly elected local government council chairmen on their victory in the November 8 local government elections.

His congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued to journalists in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.

Dr. Hassan, who also serves as Chairman of Jalingo Local Government Council, said the message was on behalf of all ALGON members and chairmen across the state’s 16 local government areas.

He described the outcome of the election as a reflection of the trust and confidence reposed in the new chairmen by the people of their respective local government areas.

According to him, their victory marks the beginning of a renewed mandate to serve with integrity, transparency, and dedication to the advancement of grassroots governance in Taraba State.

Dr. Hassan urged the newly elected chairmen to uphold the highest ideals of public service, promote unity, and pursue inclusive development that improves the lives of their people.

He further called on them to work collectively to strengthen local governance and align their efforts with the vision of the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, in delivering democratic dividends to the people.
