The Nigeria security and civil defense corp has apprehended a syndicate of nine suspects for Vandalising a NITEL Mast located at Gaya local Government Area of Kano state.

Commandant of the corp In Kano Abu Abdu Tambuwal stated this while briefing newsmen in Kano.

Abu Abdu Tambuwal who was represented by the Deputy commandant in charge of Critical and National Assets protection Mohammad Yakubu Asade, said on the 3rd March the command headquarters in Kano recieved an information from their Gaya office that a group of people had submitted a signed documents which stated NITEL Mast had been sold to them.

He said the command made a follow up process on the documents presented by the syndicate to NATCOM office in Lagos,upon which the documents were proved fake.

Asade noted that in an effort to achieve their mischievous act the syndicate offered the sum of one million Naira to the corps divisional officer in Gaya local Government Area .

The Deputy commandant maintained that the prime suspect who was a retired staff of NITEL one Danjuma Emos was the brain behind faking the Documents and also looked for the buyer of the mast.

He said among the prime suspect one Alhaji Ismail Dole was currently at large, saying his personnel were applying intelligence techniques in ensuring his arrest.

Mohammad Alade reassured commitment of NSCDC in fishing out perpetrators of such evil acts saying there was no hiding place for criminals in Kano state.

The Deputy commandant further appealed to the public to always report any suspicious movement to security agencies aimed at curtailing criminal activities in the state and the Nation at large.
