Jigawa State government says it has approved over 1 Billion Naira for the renovation of classrooms in some public schools.

The State Commissioner for Information, Youths, Sports and Culture, Alhaji Sagir Musa Ahmed disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Dutse.

According to him, the council allocated over 528 million naira for renovation of classroom blocks across selected public schools in the state.

He explained that the aim is to improve learning environments, safety, and access to quality education under the administration’s drive to revitalize basic education.

Sagir Musa also said, the council approved over 512 million naira for fabrication and supply of school furniture and student bedding materials so as to strengthen the basic education system, ensure comfort and quality standards in schools.
