The Management of Taraba State University, Jalingo has announced a mid-semester break for all returning students.

The decision takes immediate effect in response to the ongoing negotiations between the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Federal Government of Nigeria.

In a circular signed by the Registrar, Dr. Joseph Bibinu, advised students to proceed in an orderly manner and remain on break until further notice, noting that the university management regrets any inconvenience this may cause and assures students that further updates will be communicated through official channels.

“This decision follows the ongoing situation between the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Federal Government of Nigeria, the
outcome which appears uncertain at the moment.

“However, newly admitted student can
continue to accept their admissions and register,Management regrets any inconvenience this may cause and assures that further updates will be communicated through official University channels” it read.
