The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to completing the Abuja–Kaduna–Kano expressway project before the end of next year.

The Minister of State for Works, Bar. Bello Muhammad Goronyo, stated this shortly after inspecting the ongoing construction work on Tuesday.

According to the Minister, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is fully aware of the strategic importance of the highway and has directed that all necessary efforts be made to ensure its completion within the stipulated timeframe.

Bar. Goronyo urged the contractor handling the project to expedite action and ensure that the job is delivered as scheduled. He also called for immediate filling of potholes and repair of damaged sections of the road to ease the movement of motorists and other road users.

The Minister expressed concern over the hardship faced by commuters, stressing the need for quick intervention to improve safety and transportation along the corridor.

He added that the Abuja–Kaduna–Kano highway remains a vital link connecting Northern and Southern parts of the country with the Federal Capital Territory, playing a major role in national trade, mobility, and economic growth.
