President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Chief Executive Officer of Interface Africa, Al’amin Muhammed Idris, for winning the NextGen Innovation Challenge.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Interface Africa, representing Kaduna State, was announced winner of the £1.5 million cash prize at the grand finale of the challenge held on Thursday at the Hilton London Paddington.

The NextGen Innovation Challenge is a national initiative spearheaded by the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) in partnership with UKALD London.

It is inspired by President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and aims to unlock the innovative potential of Nigerian youths.

President Tinubu commended Interface Africa for its commitment to providing affordable solar financing solutions for small businesses across Africa.

He expressed confidence that the award will further boost the company’s mission to expand access to clean energy in underserved communities.

The President reaffirmed his belief in the creativity and ingenuity of Nigerian youths, noting that his administration will continue to implement deliberate policies and programmes to nurture innovation and entrepreneurship.

He also praised the other 104 participants in the competition and encouraged them to keep innovating, improving lives, and shaping the future of humanity.
