Jigawa State Government says its participation at the Malaysia International Halal Summit in Kuala Lumpur is aimed at attracting foreign investments and building strategic partnerships to boost the state’s economy.

A high-level delegation led by the Commissioner for Livestock Development, Professor Abdurrahman Salim Lawal, is attending key sessions on Halal certification, business networking, and investment opportunities.

Other members of the team include Dr. Saifullahi Umar, Director General of the Jigawa Agricultural Transformation Agency, and Hajiya Aisha Sheik Mujaddadi, Director General of the Jigawa Investment Promotion Agency.

Professor Lawal explained that the visit will help position Jigawa as a major hub for Halal products in West Africa, while opening up avenues for modern meat processing, livestock production, and Halal-certified agricultural practices.

He said the knowledge and connections gained at the summit will fast-track the development of a vibrant Halal ecosystem in Jigawa State, creating jobs and wealth for farmers and local industries.

The Jigawa State Government remains committed to leveraging global partnerships to unlock the state’s economic potential.
