The Member representing Jema’a Constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Mr. Ali Kalat, has rolled out an empowerment scheme for two hundred youth ranging from farmers, traders, to artisans aimed at improving their living standards and promoting self-reliance for socioeconomic growth and development.

Speaking during the empowerment program in Kafanchan, the lawmaker and Minority Leader said the scheme, which featured the distribution of business tools, financial support, and other essential resources, was designed to strengthen the economic base of the constituency and drive sustainable development at the grassroots.

He further pointed out that, the initiative reflects his commitment to responsive, inclusive, and accessible representation for his people.

“Empowerment is not just about giving aid—it’s about equipping people with what they need to thrive and progress individually and collectively,” he stated.

The Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, Mr. Edward Percy Masha, who described the initiative as timely and transformative, applauded the lawmaker for translating the party’s vision into tangible action, and urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the resources given to them.

“This is people-centered governance at its best. Hon. Kalat Ali has set the pace for purposeful leadership that delivers on promises,” Masha said.
