Two senior officials of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency have been honoured among the nation’s best for their outstanding service during the 2025 Hajj exercise.
The Independent Hajj Reporters (IHR) presented the awards at a ceremony held in Abuja. The recipients were Hajiya Halima Lawal Babale, Acting Director of Administration and Finance, and Alhaji Surajo Umar, Head of Accounts.
Both officials were recognised for their dedication and commitment to ensuring Kaduna pilgrims enjoyed quality care, guidance, and support throughout the spiritual exercise.
National Secretary of IHR, Ibrahim Mohammed, praised the duo for their exceptional performance, describing them as exemplary officers whose contributions enhanced the smooth conduct of the Hajj operations.
The event also honoured outstanding officials from other states as well as private tour operators who distinguished themselves during the exercise.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, represented by the Director-General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Muhammed Bulama, commended the IHR for promoting excellence in Hajj management.
He further reiterated the federal government’s commitment to strengthening collaborations with stakeholders to continually improve the welfare of Nigerian pilgrims in future exercises.
