The National Population Commission-NPC says it will utilize cutting-edge technology including tablets and geo-spatial referencing to ensure an accurate, efficient and transparent data in the forthcoming housing and population exercise.

Federal Commissioner representing Kaduna State at the Commission, Hajiya Sa’adatu Garba Dogonbauchi stated this during a town hall meeting in continuation of her state-wide sensitization visit to Ikara and Kudan LGAs.

Hajiya Sa’adatu Garba Dogonbauchi explained that the modern approach was designed to eliminate double-counting and provide real-time reliable data that is crucial for effective governance.

She noted that beyond the census, the Commission is vigorously promoting the Electronic Civil Registration and Vital Statistics program which focuses on continuos, compulsory and permanent recording of vital events such as births, deaths, marriages, divorces and migration.

In their separate remarks, Executive Chairmen of Ikara and Kudan LGAs, Bashir Mamman Dogon Koli and Dauda Iliya Abba pledged their full commitment and support to the success of the census exercise respectively.
