He said the suspects were apprehended following credible intelligence from local vigilantes in Hayin Da’e, Hotoro and Tarauni Local Government Area.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects had been terrorising residents of Hayin Da’e, Farawa Kwanar Yashi, and Hotoro Eastern Bypass with acts of burglary, theft, and vandalisation of electricity installations,” Abdullahi stated.

The NSCDC spokesperson maintained that confessional statements have already been obtained from the suspects, while further investigations are ongoing to apprehend more individuals connected to the crime.

He assured that the suspects would be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.

The Corps Commandant, Shafi’u Abdulmumini, reiterated the commitment of the NSCDC to safeguarding critical infrastructure and ensuring the protection of lives and property in the state.

He further disclosed that surveillance and patrol operations had been intensified across Kano to curb the activities of vandals and other criminal elements.
