Religious leaders, stakeholders and citizens across the country have been called upon to be mindful of utterances that can lead to violence.

The call was made by a senior veteran Journalist with Dutch welley. Mr Ibrahim Yakubu in Kaduna at a monthly forum with interfaith and the media to promote peace.

lMr Ibrahim Yakubu lamented over the attacks on secondary schools in Northern nigeria especially in boarding schools, adding that the menace had significantly caused set backs on education development in the region.

He appealed to state government to provide security for students, teachers and the household to prevent them migrating to other places.

Also speaking Acting Director Bureau of Interfaith Affairs Malam Tahir Baba Ibrahim blamed some Imam and Pastors who preaches war during their sermons. ‘

That is why they are termed to be accidental preachers because they don’t abide by the rules guiding the Holy Books on peace instead they promote conflicts’ Malam Tahir added

He also advised journalists to educate the public on importances of living in peace and the need to register mosques and churches as the government stipulated.

In a speech, representative of District Head of Gwagwada in chukun Local Government Area Lawal Magaji said as a result of insecurity many farmers had abandoned their farms saying this would lead to shortage of food.

On his part, Youths leader in the state chief Christopher chioma Ohaneze promised to sensitise youths on importance of living together irrespective of tribe and religious deferences.

Participants at the occasion commended the treats by some politicians especially in the northern Nigerian and promised to join hand in fighting corrupt minds.
