Federal Pensioners have vowed to protest next month over delayed settlement of their accrued benefits despite assurance by relevant authorities.

The Senior Citizens rejected appeal by Pension Transition Arrangement Directorate PTAD to suspend the process and allow for dialogue which they described as belated action.

They expressed dismay over claims by the directorate that it was yet to receive required funds from the Federal Government for the payment of the benefits including the COVID-NINETEEN palliatives.

National President of the FRCN Pensioners’ Union Alhaji Ibrahim Jikamshi who also expressed support for the protest was concerned over insensitivity of the Present administration against retirees and called for measures to address the problem.

Alhaji Ibrahim Jikamshi noted that President Bola Tinubu as an palliative elder should know the hardship faced by the retired workers particularly inability to settle medical bills and feed their families.
