The Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Malam Sallihu S. Abubakar, has lauded this year’s Kaduna pilgrims for their exemplary conduct during the Hajj, describing them as the most disciplined group in recent years.

Malam Sallihu made the statement during a visit by the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Pakistan, and his delegation to the Kaduna State Pilgrims’ Camp in Mina.

Despite Kaduna State having the largest number of Nigerian pilgrims in this year’s Hajj, Malam Sallihu highlighted the group’s exceptional discipline and decorum. He urged the pilgrims to continue upholding the values and etiquette expected during their spiritual journey.

We are very proud of our pilgrims this year,” he said. “Their behavior has been commendable, and we urge them to maintain this standard throughout their stay in the Holy Land.”

The chairman also expressed deep appreciation to NAHCON for its logistical and medical support. He acknowledged the Commission’s role in facilitating smooth travel arrangements from Nigeria to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including transfers between Makkah and the holy sites (Masha’ir), as well as the provision of medical personnel and accommodation for the Kaduna contingent.

During the visit, NAHCON Chairman Professor Abdullahi Saleh Pakistan made a passionate appeal to all Nigerian pilgrims to pray for the country’s leaders and for national transformation.

He emphasized the need for positive prayers aimed at guiding leaders toward justice, integrity, and compassion. According to him, praying against leaders or wishing them harm could lead to societal instability and hinder national progress.

Nigeria and its leaders need prayers more than ever—especially in overcoming security challenges and achieving lasting peace,” Professor Pakistan stated. “When leaders are reformed, the entire nation benefits.”

He urged pilgrims to see their time in the Holy Land as an opportunity to intercede for Nigeria, calling prayer the most powerful tool for change.
