The First Lady of Zamfara State, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has expressed her readiness to collaborate with individuals, groups, and organizations committed to the development of Zamfara State.

She made this known while receiving a delegation from Madawaki Ward in Gusau Local Government Area, who paid her a courtesy visit at her office in Government House, Gusau.

Hajiya Huriyya emphasized that collaboration is essential for achieving meaningful development in the society.

“If I understand you correctly, you want us to come together and join forces to carry out this mission completely, right? That’s exactly what we want too,” she said

“This is a very good initiative, when efforts are combined, that’s when real progress is made.”

The First Lady also assured the delegation that her office remains open to partnerships, particularly on initiatives that require her attention or involvement.

“My door is always open. If you’re planning something and want me to see it or be there, God willing, and if I have the time, life, and good health, I will do my best to participate,” she added.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation and Councillor representing Madawaki Ward, Honourable Zarumi Chiroma, said the visit was aimed at seeking stronger collaboration with the office of the First Lady to enhance the well-being of people in his community.

He noted that the key areas requiring support include healthcare, agriculture, and youth empowerment.

“We are working with influential figures in the Madawaki Ward and NGOs like the WHO and others,” he concluded

According to Chiroma, Hajiya Huriyya has shown exceptional leadership, particularly through her efforts in supporting vulnerable individuals across the state.

“We are here at the Government House to visit our mother—because she is a mother to Madawaki Ward—just as His Excellency, the Executive Governor Dr. Dauda Lawal, is our father,” Chiroma said.

“Our purpose is to discuss critical issues affecting Madawaki Ward that, if addressed, will not only benefit Gusau Local Government but also contribute to the development of Zamfara State as a whole.”

“We want to collaborate with her office because the support she’s providing aligns with our goals and initiatives.”

He expressed gratitude for the leadership of Governor Dauda Lawal, noting that, the people of Zamfara have begun witnessing real transformation through his various developmental projects.

“We are grateful to God for giving us Governor Dauda Lawal. He came to rescue the people, especially through the development projects he has brought to the state,” he said.
