Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia FUASK, Kaduna State, has received full approval from the National Universities Commission NUC to offer 18 full-time academic programmes, beginning from the 2025/2026 academic session.

The approval follows a successful resource verification and revalidation exercise conducted by the NUC, covering programmes in Basic Medical Sciences, Allied Health Sciences, Computing, and other applied science disciplines.

Notably, the approved courses include MBBS (Medicine and Surgery), Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.), Software Engineering, Nursing Sciences, Cybersecurity, Radiography, Architecture, and Quantity Surveying, among others.

Speaking on the development, the Vice-Chancellor of FUASK, Professor William Barnabas Qurix, described the approval as a bold endorsement of the institution’s commitment to innovation, excellence, and the advancement of applied sciences in Nigeria.

“This is a major milestone that sets FUASK on the path to becoming a national hub for technology-driven, solution-oriented education,” he said.

The university’s Registrar, Professor Sanusi Gambo, also reaffirmed FUASK’s readiness to deliver quality education that meets global standards and responds to Nigeria’s development needs.
