Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board says preparations are in top gear for the 2025 Hajj exercise in the state.

The Director General of the Board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo, stated this in an interview with Radio Nigeria at the Board’s headquarters in Dutse.

According to him, so far, the board had submitted the list of over one thousand intending pilgrims who completed their hajj fare in the state to National Hajj Commission of Nigeria.

He said, prospective pilgrims who completed payment of their hajj fare have been enrolled in the Visa process.

Labbo said that, the board had paid 8 Billion naira to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON for the 2025 state intending pilgrims.

Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo said, daily orientation sessions across the twenty seven local government areas is in progress by some Ulama’s for the state intending pilgrims.

He explained that the board will soon distribute 8kg bags and uniforms to zonal and center officers for onward distribution to prospective pilgrims.

Labbo further explained that, the flight for the airlift of this year’s state intending pilgrims is scheduled by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON.

The Pilgrims Boss therefore, urged the intending pilgrims to be attending the daily orientation lectures due to its importance.

He commended Governor Umar Namadi for the support and cooperation given to the board for a hitch free exercise.

Radio Nigeria reports that, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON, had allocated 1,500 seats to the state for this year’s hajj exercise.
