The new Vice Chancellor of the federal University Dutse FUD in jigawa state Prof. Abdulkarim Sabo Muhammed has promised to take the critical segments of the institution along.
Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Muhammad stated this while taking over the leadership from the former VC, Professor Fatima Batul Muktar during the hand over ceremony in the Institution.
In an acceptance speech, the new vice chancellor appealed to the university community especially to ASUU, SSANU, NASU, NAAT and SUG to join hands with him to move the university to the desired height.
“It is indeed a great day for me personally and the university community specifically to witness this great and memorable occasion. Going forward, I want to assure our council, management, staff and students that I am aware of the huge responsibility that comes with this position and I intend to do my utmost best to discharge my duty to the best of my ability” he said.
Professor Sabo thanked the Governing Council for appointing him the VC from the pool of other qualified candidates.
He expressed appreciation to Professor Fatima Batul Mukhtar who gave him the opportunity to serve as Deputy Director and later made him Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Services.
In a remark, the former VC Professor Fatima Batul Mukhtar congratulated the new VC and prayed Allah to guide him discharge his responsibilities.
