Jigawa State Executive Council has approved over 4.8 billion naira for the 2025 Ramadan feeding program across the state.
The State Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports, and Culture, Alhaji Sagir Musa Ahmed, disclosed this shortly after the council meeting held at the Government House in Dutse, the capital of Jigawa State.
According to him, the approval is for 2025 ramadan feeding programme and to be jointly funded between the State Government (55%) and Local Government (45%).
He further explained that, the 630 feeding centers which include a minimum of two centers in each of the 287 wards in the state, Juma’at mosques and prisons.
Others include, rehabilitation centers, motor parks and markets squares as well as the 15 tertiary institutions in the State.
Sagir said, the council had constituted a committee to workout modalities for the implementation roadmap of the feeding program as present by the Commissioner for Special Duties Auwal Danladi Sankara.
