The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army, Senator Ahmed Lawan, expressed satisfaction with the implementation of the 2024 Appropriation Act by the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji.

Senator Lawan stated this shortly after the Commandant of the College, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Alhaji, presented the performance report for the 2024/2025 budget.

He noted a significant increase in the college’s budgetary allocation and emphasized that the committee was advocating for such increases to enhance the country’s security architecture through rigorous training of military personnel.

Lawal expressed concern over the rise in the exchange rate, noting that although it has decreased recently, it remains an issue.

He commended the College for implementing numerous renovations, adding that the developments in the college were commendable as they go beyond basic training.

Senator Ahmad Lawan assured the College of the committee’s full support to enhance its performance.

While presenting the budget, the Commandant, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Alhaji, acknowledged the support of the National Assembly and reaffirmed the college’s commitment and loyalty to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He pledged to continue providing the necessary training and retraining of military personnel to ensure the security of lives and property across Nigeria.
