The senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District , Sunday Marshall Katung, has initiated a project to construct thirty boreholes, including solar-powered ones across communities in the district.

 

The Senior Legislative Aide and Chief of Staff to the Senator, Mr. Iliya Wilson Yangye  revealed this during an  interview.

 

 

Wilson Iliya disclosed that the contract has been awarded, while identification of communities and accessment of construction sites is ongoing .

 

He stressed that as part of the effort, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung had sent a delegation led by Francis Sani Zimbo, former Chairman of Zango-Kataf local government area, to Afana Bajju, one of the beneficiary communities, for an on-site assessment.

Meanwhile, Mr. Kayit, former national youth leader of the Bajju Development Association applauds  Senator Katung.

“Special thanks to distinguished Sen. Katung for sending a delegation for on-site verification. They saw the need firsthand.”

 

This project aligns with Senator Katung’s commitment to community development, having previously served as Commissioner of Water Resources and Finance in Kaduna State.
