Nigeria is to collaborate with the World Trade Organisation (WTO) on economic policy development and technical assistance.
Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Dr Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, stated his during a visit to the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, at the WTO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
Dr Onyejeocha, said the move was to leverage on global expertise of the organization to drive economic growth in Nigeria.
The Minister of State who was in Geneva for the 112th Session of the International Labour Conference said the visit was an opportunity to tap from the wealth of experience with Dr Okonjo-Iweala.
She noted that seeking such a partnership aligned with the federal government’s renewed commitment to exploring all avenues, both domestic and international, to address economic disparities and foster a more robust economy.
