Eight thousand metric tons of fertilizer will be distributed free to smallholder farmers in Kaduna State to boost their farming activities.

The state governor, Malam Uba Sani, disclosed this during a meeting with members of the Kaduna State Elders Forum at the Government House in Kaduna.

Governor Sani explained that the meeting was part of his administration’s engagement initiative to interact with stakeholders on issues beneficial to the development of the state.

Malam Sani appreciated the support and Cooperation of the senior citizen which have helped in the administration’s successes especially on peace and security.

Meanwhile, the Governor has also met with religious leaders at government house by interacting and briefing them on progress made so far in critical sectors in the state.

We have clocked one year in office. Our achievements are there for all to see. We have made modest progress in the areas of security, infrastructure development, education, agriculture, health, housing, poverty alleviation, youth and women empowerment. Our rural transformation drive is gathering pace. Permit me to highlight some of the key achievements of our administration

We have performed the groundbreaking of 54 roads across Kaduna State, totaling 679.5km. Some of the roads have been completed and commissioned, while others are nearing completion

We are carrying out a surgical operation in the healthcare sector. We want to deliver to our people a healthcare system that addresses the needs of the people in the three levels of healthcare delivery. Our vision is to build healthy communities, where the poor and vulnerable have access to quality healthcare” 

We have devoted a huge chunk of our 2024 budget to healthcare. The sum of N71,647,821,975.33 or 15.63% was devoted to Health

We commissioned the Women and Children Center for Vulnerable Women and Children to facilitate access to a range of services, including medical, legal, psychosocial, and counseling support

Malam Uba Sani acknowledged the efforts of the spiritual leaders in stabilizing the state, making it possible for the government to refocus attention on other developmental issues.

He charged the religious leaders not to relent in their efforts so as to move the state to a greater height.

In an interview, some of the religious clerics commended the Governor for building a solid foundation towards putting the state on a path to peace and unity.

During the meeting, various speakers acknowledged the achievements recorded by the Uba Sani administration within the last one year and highlighted some areas that need more attention.
